Itfeatured a long-sleeved laceover-bodice, with a softly-pleated satin skirt falling into a scalloped hemline. Her fingertip veil fell from a satin crown and was edged with hand-cro-ehitecl m ecla 11 ions. She c a r r i ed a cascade bouquet of stepha-notis centered with an orchid.The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Edmund Etterman of Englewood. Serving as best man was Don Ha mm e rich and ushers were Jack Dean, Phillip Nuss and Ronald W. Falconer, all of Sarasota.The wedding took place a-g a in st a beautiful Christmas background, with the altar dressed with poinset!ias. Mrs. Stuart Jenney played for the ceremony and Howard Gollnich sang “ The Lord’s Prayer” and “Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring,/’The bride’s attendants were gowned in two shades of blue satin, fashioned with round necklines cut lower in the back and softly pleated skirts with sashes of the same color. Mrs. John Vermette wore pale blue, and Miss Shaffer’s gown was the same hue in a deeper shade. Their hats of satin roses and leaves were also designed by the bride/s mother. They carried nosegay bouquets ofpeppermint carnations.The Rev. Luther F. Wilier,pastor of Concordia LutheranChurch, officiated.The reception was held in the church parish hall, for which the arrangements were made bv Mrs. Wilier. Mrs. John Blakeley of Venice cut the cake, and Mrs. Jack Dean poured the punch. Assisting Mrs. Wilier were Misses Marcia Seward, Shirley Van Tassel and Karen Miner,For the wedding trip, the bride wore a hand knit maroon and rose suit, and an orchid corsage. After they return, the couple will live at 1820 Wood St., Sarasota,Mrs. Etterman was graduated from Shepherd College, Shepherdstown, W. Va., where she was a member of Sigma Sigma Sigma and of Kappa Delta Pi, honorary education fraternity. She graduated summa cum laude, and is a member of Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges.
