The father of the bridegroom is Robert J. Aley, a former resident of Spencer, and who was state superintendent of public instruction. He is now president ofthe University of Maine. Mrs. J. W. Archer of this place is a grandmother of the groom and J. J. Aley of Coal City is bis grandfather. Mr. Aley ws formerly a teacher in the Shelby-ville, Ind., high school and is now associate editor of the Baogor, Me., Commercial. The Aleys lived in Spencer about twenty-five years *£o.
