Foster. - McCowan.Thursday afternoon the Bev. J. L.Ladd of the Richards street Methodisthurch, joined in the bonds of holy matrimony Mr. Amasa J. Foster of Morris 111., and Miss H. Louise McCowan ofthis city.The ceremony took place at the residence of contractor H. S. Brockway, who is an intimate friend of Mr. Foster, and with whom he has been at work upon the new elevator building.The affair was a quiet one and only a few of the friends of the contracting parties were present. The presents were beautiful and appropriate, and after theceremony had been/performed a bountiful supper was served to those present.Among those who were present were the following:Mrs. Foster, and Miss Mary Foster, of Morris, mother and sister of the groom;Mr. and Mrs. John McCowan, parents of the bride; Mr. and Mrs. H. S. Brookway and Mr.aud Mrs. Will C. Stage.Mr. and Mrs. Foster will reside in this city.
