Mrs. Jay Randy SmithMcDonald - Smith Nuptials Performed Dec. 19 in LubbockWedding vows were exchanged Saturday evening, December 10th, at Trinity Church, Lubbock, by Miss Dora Jane McDonald and Jay Randy Smith. Rev. Gerald Henderson officiated.The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. R.M. McDonald of Rt. 1, Bellevue, Texas and a granddaughter of Mrs. J.W. Dixon of Bellevue. The bridegroom is the son of Mr . and Mrs. W.C. Smith of Rt. 1, Crowell, Tex.Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a formal length gown of white velvet. The gown featured a Victorian neckline of Venise lace giving a yoke effect accenting the front and back bodice. A softly gathered column skirt flowed from the empire bodice There was a matching lace edged ctiapel length mantilla of double illusion. Her bouquet was a cascade of white pom-pom carnations.Miss Barbara Brown of Lubbock, a room mate of the bride, was maid of honor. Miss Sue Smith o f Dallas, sister of the groom, was bridesmaid. Both wore formal length royal blue gowns with long sleeves, lace-trimmed and stand-up collars. Each carried blue and white pom-pom carnations.Best man was Bill Smith of Lubbock, brother of the groom. Ronnie Cox, Lockney, was groomsman. Ushers were Jimmy McDonald, brother of the bride, Don Cox of Lubbock and Dan Mike Bird of Lubbock.The wedding music was presented by Miss Candy Perkins, soloist and Miss Penny Per -kins. The songs were ‘■Only-Just Begun and -Only Be-A reception hosted by the bride's parents followed in the Fellowship Hall at the church.The bridegroom’s parents entertained at a rehearsal su-pper.Following a wedding trip, the couple will be at home at 2205-A ath St. in Lubbock where they will continue theirstudies at Texas Tech Univer-lieve. sltv.
