Barton's Good FortuneIn a few days two young men will assume ownership and operation of the venerable Hoisington Dispatch. We take this occasion to welcome Bob Bolitho and Dick Ramsey to Barton County, and to give Hoisington some warning as towhat it can expect. Both newsmen have proven themselvesmost capable in their field. Ramseys Rush County News has long been a bright and news-fiiled publication to the credit of La Crosse. Bob Bolitho is every bit as enterprising in his Harper Advocate. They will make what an editor of 75 years ago would have termed “a crackerjack team”. (Nowadays there must be a more dignified term available but it escapesus). The community should know that the appearance of these two newsmen is somewhat deceiving. Behind that disarming smile Bolitho has a trip-hammer mind that is always working. He has opinions and expresses them at the drop of a typewriter key. And Ramsey belies that easy-going manner. He must hustle to keep the Rush County News so full of meat (news) and potatoes (advertising). We are pleased Barton County has attracted two of the most competent 39-vear-olds in the Kansas newspaper fraternity. Hang onto your hat, Hoisington.
