Mm. Henrietta Allen.Mrs. Henrietta Allen was the daugh-i ter of the late Judge R. H. Wedding, one of the pioneers of western Indiana. She was born near Clinton, Parke county, June 21, 1830, removed with her parents to Terre Haute in 1849, and was married to Judge James M. Allen August 7, 1853. She leaves a sister, Mrs. Judge Roache, of Indianapolis, and a brother, Mr. Joseph O. Wedding, of Jessups Station. The many friends of Mrs. Judge Allen will deeply regret to learn of her death, though not altogether unexpected. Thus it is in God’s Providence that another and happy home has been made desolate and dark by the crushing out of its spirit light. The children shall no more enjoy the loved one’s care, no more her influence, save the spirit one from another world—a husband no more her faithful devotion, no more her counsels which for long years have shed their luster on the pathway of life. In all the relations of life as wife,! mother and friend her duties were fully and faithfully discharged. Devotedly attached to her family and all that concerned their welfare, her whole life was given up to them. As a Christian she was a firm beliver in the impartial grace and goodness of God, in whom she placed her entire trust—not doubtingly, but with child-like simplicity. During her long illness she exhibited the greatest pa' tience and resignation. Her death was quiet and peaceful, and with a Christian’s faith. She closed her eyes to open them in that brighter and better world of everlasting sunshine and summer. Those who were to her nearest and dearest, who loved aud served her in life, can now consecrate her memory with the love of a faithful husband and the undying affection of grateful children.“Life! we’ve been long together.Through pleasant and through stormr weather,’Tis hard to part when friends are dear; Perhaps ’twill cost a sigh, a tear,Then steal away give little warning.Choose thine own time;Say not *• good night,” but In some brighter clime Bid me “good morning.” H.
