county. |Married.dimmitt—lowg.On Sunday evening, December 9tb, the beautiful country home of Mr. andi Mrs. W. A. Dimmitt was the scene of quite a pleasant wedding, it being the marriage of their youngest daughter, Miss Blanche, to Mr. Clifford A. Long, of Level, at 6 o’clock. Mrs. Abbie Smy-eor began playing a beautiful wedding march, when the bridal party was ushered into the parlors by Rev. J. W. Burdsall, where, under an arch beautifully and artistically decorated in white mnll, flowers and myrtle, the nuptials were performed. After congratulations about fifty guests were invited into the dining room, where an elegant supper was served. The bride was dressed in a delicate shade of henrietta, trimmed in pale blue silk. The groom wore the conventional black. The young couple were remembered by their friends in many charming gifts. Those present were Mr. and Mrs. Isaac Long and daughter,of Level; Mr. and Mrs. Robt. Needham and daughter, Mrs. Mary Shriner, Mr. and Mrs. George Dimmitt and two daughters, Mr. and Mrs. Mon Smysor, Mr. and Mrs. A1 Williams and family, of Newtonsville; Mr. and Mrs. Charles Long, of Hillsboro; Mr. and Mrs. Frank Dimmitt, of Moore’s Fork; Mr. and Mrs. Charles Wood, of Wilmington; Mr. and‘Mrs. James Gorman and daughter, of Pleasant Valley; Mr. Amos Jordan and family, of West Woodville, and Mr. Floyd Cramer, of Edenton. A reception was given the bride and groom at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Isaac Long Tuesday. On Wednesday the young couple started for a short so-tourn with friends in Cincinnati.
