Double-Ring Ceremony Unites Derby, Brownvice.First Christian Church, Lee and Main Streets; united in marriage, Bessie Jane DerbyAn open house buffet dinner was held in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Herbert E. Lashhorn Jr., 1312 Overlook Drive, in honor of the baptism of their infant son, Herbert Daniel Lashhorn.Fr. John Steffaro officiated for the baptismal ceremony in the St. Nicholas Orthodox Church on Colliers Way. Responses were sung by Mrs. John Possnack and Miss Sandra Lashhorn.and Benny Herbert Brown Jr., on Sunday, Dec. 14, at 3:30 p.m.The Rev. Stanley Bartlett officiated for the private ser*Mrs. Kenneth Dearth is Godmother and David Lashhorn, Godfather.Mr. and Mrs. Lashhorn have one daughter, Christina Ann (Tina), a kindergarten student, in addition to the honoree.Maternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Edsel Dearth of Schwartz St., and paternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Herbert E. Lashhorn Sr., of Williams Dr.For her marriage the bride chose a lime green dress accented with red roses.Ruth Jackson was matron of honor, and Franklin Pepper was best man.The couple were entertained at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Pepper of Collins Way immediately following the ceremony and a reception was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. William Blake of Hardins Run Road, later in the day. A private dinner party was held in the Anchor Room in the evening.A wedding trip is planned after the first of the year.
