Miss Minnie MacFadyen Wed In WainwrightA pTetty wedding took place on Wednesday, December 11th, at 1:30 p.m. in St Andrew’s (Pres.) church when Minnie Katherine Margaret, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert MacFadyen of Viking was married to Mr. Clarence McGuire of Viking, son of Mr. Owen McGuire and the late Mrs. McGuire of Tofield, in a quiet ceremony with Rev. A* K, Hancock officiating before an altar decorated with vases of yellow and white baby mums.Given in marriage by her father the bride was lovely in a white sheer floor length gown with sweetheart neckline and full bishop sleeves. Her only jewelry was a double strand of pearls with matching pearl bracelet, gifts of the groom. Her veil was held with a coronet of orange blossoms and she carrie^ a bouquet of red roses.Miss Mary MacFadyen, sister of the bride was charming in a floor length frock of nile green jersey with chapel veil of matching shade caught with white flowers and she carried a bouquet of yellow and pink carnations, Her only ornament was a gold pendantMr. Don Featherstone-haugh supported the groom as best man.Ushers in the church were Messrs. Robert Parker and Wash burn’ Laird,Mr. Wra, Carsell played the wedding music and Mr. Washburn Laird sang “I Would Be True*1 during the signing of the register.A reception to a small circle of relatives and friends was held at The Stqp and Step Inn Tea Room in the home of Mrs. C. McKenzie. For her daughter’s wedding Mrs. MacFadyen chose a black crepe dress trimmed with gold nail heads with matching accessories and a corsage of pink roses.The bride’s table was laid with a lace cloth and centred by a three tiered wedding cake flanked with tail white tapers in silver holders. Yellow and white baby mums completed the decorative scheme.Mrs. W. Carsell poured tea during the reception and serviteurs were Mrs. O. Michon, Mrs. C. MacKenzle and Mrs. Lundahl. Rev. A. R. Hancock proposed the toast to the bride which was responded to by the groom.After a short honeymoon in Edmonton the young couple plan to reside in Viking. For travelling the bride wore a gold and brown wool dress with fur coat and small green velvet hat.Out of town guests for the wedding were Mrs. Lundahl of Viking and Miss Jean McGuire of Tofield.
