Memphis Commereiai-Appeai gives the I following account: “The marriage of sMiss Alice M, Harris, daughter of Mr. | and Mrs. George W. Harris, of Mem-! phis, and Hon. Herbert U Somers, of | Fort Wayne, Ind, was solemnized at! ft o'clock last evening at the Harris I home, on Lamar boulevard. There were no attendants. The home was artistically decorated with palms and cut flowers. The color motif, green and white, prevailed in the iloral arrange* meats, and was further carried out in the ices ‘ A varied musical program I of appropriate selections was rendered (Turing the service, by Leon Becker, i Mendelssohn's march announced the entrance of the bridal party. They were met in front of a green archway, in the service room, by the Rev. G. \V. Banks, the officiating minister. For the ceremony Mrs. Somers wore’ a gown of white crepe de chine, with garniture of Manila lace. Instead of a veil, she wore a picture hat of white, and carried a bouquet of biide roses. After an informal reception, Hon. and Mrs. Somers 1eft for the noith, for a stay of several weeks, before going to their future home in Fort Wayne. Mrs. Somers traveled in a suit of green broadcloth with hat in harmony. Both young people are prominent in the social circles of their respective Cities. Mrs. Somers is the gifted and popular daughter of Mr. and Mrs. G. \Y. Harris, o? Memphis, while Hon. H. L.
