Poteat-FosterCharmeka Shantele Poteat and Jermaine Lajuane Foster of Winston-Salem were wed Saturday, Oct. 21, 1995, at Kbenczer Baptist Church, Providence. The Rev. PaulAndrew Jackson officiated, and vocalists were Mark Jones and Singers of Winston Salem.The bride is the daughter of Gaye G. Poteat of Yanceyville and Walter M. Poteat of Burlington. The bridegroom is the son of Larry Foster of Yanceyville and the late Nina O. Foster.Given in marriage by her brother, Brandon L. Poteat of Yanceyville, the bride wore a fitted gown with a bodice and waist with sequins and chapel train with a bow. Her fingertip veil with pouf was attached to abeaded tiara, and she carried a cascade of white and black roses and carnations.Maids of honor were Angela Parkin' of Mebane and Anissa Whitby of Winston-Salem. Bridesmaids were Antonia Beasley of Bur lington; Vonda Allen of Reids-ville; Tiffani Gannaway ofHarrisburg, Pa., and Anita Poole of Mebane, cousins of tlii’ bride; Tiffany Elliott of Winston-Salem; Treva Foster* of Durham, cousin of the bridegroom; and Telisa Jacobs of Mebane, sister of the bridegroom.Keith Graves of Winston-Salem, cousin of the bride, was best man.
