Thakar AluminumCorporation has announced that Jerry Mann will join its management team as vice president of marketing sales. In this position Mann will be responsible for the overall development and implementation of the company’s marketing and sales efforts.Mann is a graduate metallurgical engineer from the University of Cincinnati. He spent 31years with Reynolds Metals Company in mill production sales, sales management, extrusion production management, and prior to taking early retirement was the national scrap manager.Thakar Aluminum Corporation was formed in 1987 by the purchase of the Sandusky, Ohio and Corona, Calif, secondary aluminum facilities from Vulcan Materials Company. The Sandusky Bay Billet Plant produces secondary aluminum billet for the extrusion industry and the Corona, Calif, plant produces secondary eluminum sows from the reclamation of used aluminum beverage cans.
