riMRS. PATTONPatton-Cronk vows saidChristine Elizabeth Katherine Cronk, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Vern Cronk of Hemlock, became the bride of Brenton Francis Anthony Patton of Sault Ste. Marie on Dec. 14 at St. Mary’s Church at Hemlock. The Rev. Lawrence Pasche officiated at the early evening ceremony.Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Patton of Midland, former residents erf Sault Ste. Marie, are the bridegroom’s parents.Patricia Ann Sheltraw of Saginaw was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Carol Regina Patton of Midland, sister of the bridegroom, Mrs. John Cronk of Saginaw, sister-in-law of the bride, and Ruth Ann Cronk of Hemlock, the bride’s sister.George Patton of Midland was his brother’s best man.Groomsmen were two brothers of the bride, John Cronk of Saginaw and Joel Cronk of Hemlock, and Ken Anderson of Midland. Joseph Patton of Midland, brother of the bridegroom and Daniel Patton of Sault Ste. Marie, the bridegroom’s cousin, ushered.The bridal gown of white chiffon was designed with a ruffled yoke and long sleeves. Her flowers were white rosebuds, miniature carnationsand gypsophila accented with tiny violet flowers.The attendants’ long-sleeved gowns of pale lilac crepe had long sleeves and ruffled yokes with V necklines. Their flowers were purple chrysanthemums, white carnations and gypsophila.Thomas Township Hall in Hemlock was the scene of the reception.After a week’s honeymoon in Chicago, Mr. and Mrs. Patton will make their home in Sault Ste. Marie.A graduate of Saginaw High School, the bride will be doing student teaching in Rudyard and will receive a degree in secondary education from Central Michigan University next May. Her husband was graduated from Midland High School and Central Michigan University and is photographer for The Evening News.BrieflyThe Presbyterian Chapel Ladies Aid Society will meet for a potluck dinner at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at the home of Mrs. Roy Eagle on Riverside Drive. Members are to bring their own table service.
