Miss Bessie L. Jacoby, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. C. Jacoby, of 20 Young street, and Richard Puegner, son of Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Puegner, were quietly married Wednesday evening at the parsonage of St. Paul’s church by the Rev. L. H. Burry. Mr. and Mrs. Puegner will live at No. 89 East Walnut street.A protest against the local option election recently held in Newark, in which the “drys were successful, was filed with Probate Judge Brister Wednesday evening, irregularities in signing the petition are charged, it being claimed that sufficient names have been found of persons who were not voters to declare the petition invalid.
