June Marie Zinnel and Paul Eugene Smith of West Bend were united in marriage Friday Nov. 26, 7:30 P.M. (by the Rev. CleoKautsch at Peace Lutheran Church at West Bend. • Their parents are Mr. and Mrs. Henry Zinnel of Rodman, and Mr. and Mrs. Wave Smith of West Bend.Given in marriage iby iher fath-ar the bride wore a white brush satin gown in an empire style with an A line shirt* The bodice had a round neok with a high collar. Across and down the center of the gown was a light ribbon in lace. The long fitted sleeves !had flare cuffs. The long train started from the waist with’the blue ribbon also in lace *oi;ng down the train.The veil was made (by the groom’s mother with lace and ueads. The bride carried a colonial bouquet of red roses and white carnations. Her jewelry was a diamond necklace, a gift of the groom,i iMiss Garlene Zinnel, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. Mrs. Ken Baughman of Monti-cello, III. the igroom’s sister and Ruth Ketelsen, a friend of West Bend, were (bridesmaids. All three attendants wore identical gowns of royal velvet and light blue satin with an empire waist and long A-line shirt, with a ribbon around the waist and short puffy sleeves. They also carriedcolonial bouquets with white carnations. All attendants wore a pearl necklace given by the bride. Both mothers wore blueknit dresses.«’• . - *•Dennis Helmke of Lincoln, Neibr., a friend of the groom, was best man. Groomsmen were Bruce St ramp e, brother-in-law of (the grooom of Elkader, la., and Stanley Zinnel, cousin of thebride of West Bend. The men all wore iblack tuxedo,Mrs. Steve iBrom of CenterPoint, la., organist played;i the processional* “Jesus, Joy of Men’s Desiring,’’ The soloist was Gene Anderson of Iowa City who sang“The Lord’s Prayer’’. Kathy Hagen dipped punch; the tiered wedding cake was cut and served by Nancy Runohey of Schaumburg, 111., and Mrs. Fred Ruhnke of Ft. ‘Dodge; and (Mrs. Carmen Bell of Waterloo, and IMrs. Bruce Strampe of Elkader, presided at the coffee services,Waitresses were Marilyn 'Anderson, West Bend; Debra Zinnel, Cylinder; Bonnie, Patty, Brenda and Carrie Jacobson, ' Ottosen. Mrs. Marvin Curry, Diane Eruger and Janette Flynn, all of Em-metsburg were in dharge of the gifts. Kathy Hagen of Cylinder was the bride’s personal attendant.The newlyweds are at home jn Emmetsburg where (Mrs. Smith is employed at Iowa Trust Savings Bank* and her husband attends l'owa Lakes Community College, majoring in a farmequipment technical course.•' * - • • « *The (bride graduated from Emmetsburg High .School in 1970 and Iowa Lakes Comm. College where she majored in clerical study, in 1971. Mr. Smith is a 1964 graduate of Algona High School and -a two-year technical course' in electronics at North Iowa Community College at Mason City. He spent four years in the Navy serving aboard the USS Cochran and is presently employed at Schultz Bros, in Algona.Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Smith, parents of the groom, entertained the wedding party at an after rehearsal buffet in their home on Thursday evening.
