Schultz-BettenhausenFollowing their marriage on November 1 at St. George’s church in Tinley Park, the former Donna Schultz and Donald Bettenhausen are making their new home in Hazel Crest. Officiating at the 5 p.m. ceremony was the Rev. Alfons Gorny. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dean Schultz of Glenwood Mrs. Eleanor Bettenhausen of Tinley Park is the mother of the bridegroomFor her wedding the bride was attired in a white, long-sleeved jersey gown featuring an empire waistline and a lace bodice. The bridal bouquet was composed of white roses, mums, baby’s breath and white orchids.Serving as her twin sister’s matron of honor was Deborah Silkett of Dallas, Texas. The bride was also attended by Donna Peterson of Country Club Hills, Kim Caldwell of Crete, Lynn Sekosky of Homewood, Teri Fejes of Harvey and Mary Hamilton of Thornton.Serving as best man was James Walsh of Palos Park. The bridegroom was also attended by his brothers, Mark and Tom. of Tinley Park and Oak Forest, respectively; his cousin Jim Brandau of Tinley Park, Mark Vandenberg of Tinley Park and Brian Chiara-monte of Palos Hills.FOLLOWING THE ceremony a reception for 250 guests was held at the Tinley Park American Legion hall. The couple later departed for a honeymoon in Cancun, Mexico.A graduate of Homewood Flossmoor high school, the new Mrs. Bettenhausen is employed as a supervisor in the radiology department at South Suburban hospital in Hazel Crest. A graduate of Tinley Park high school, Bettenhausen is employed as a firefighter and a par amedic with the village of Hazel Crest and the Vandenberg Ambulance company of Oak Forest.
