Denise McEllhiney, David Lewis marryrMR. and MRS. DAVID LEWISSt. Joseph Catholic Church, Princeton, Indiana, formed the setting for the fall wedding uniting Denise Renee McEllhiney and David Alan Lewis of Princeton. The couple was united on Friday, Nov. 18, with the Rev. Edward Schneider officiating at the 7p.m. double ring ceremony. The altar was decorated with ferns and pink and white carnations.The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles E. McEllhiney, Princeton, and parents of the bridegroom are Mrs. Laura Lewis, Princeton, and Robert Lewis, Memphis,Ind.A program of pre-nuptial selections was presented by organist Mrs. Shirley Baehl of Fort Branch. She accompanied soloist, Allen Perkins, also of Fort Branch.Approaching the altar on the arm of her father, the bride was attired in a formal gown of white nylon organza. The bodice was designed with a scooped neckline and sheer full Bishop sleeves, which were embroidered and trimmed in Venise lace. A lace crown cap secured her short lace trimmed veil. Denise carried a cascade bouquet of silk burgundy and white carnations and white babies’ breath, with silk burgundy and white streamer ribbons flowing from the bouquet.For her maid-of-honor, the bride chose Tina Graper. Bndemaids were Brenda and Carolyn McEllhiney, sisters of the bride.The attendants were dressed in identical formal gowns of burgundy, polyester chiffon. The dresses featured scooped necklines and high rise bodices. The girls carried silk burgundy daisies and light beige carnations with burgundy and beige streamer ribbons.Rice girls were Laura Neufelder and Sarah Weber, cousins of the bride. They worematching gowns of beige and burgundy, and each carried a basket of rice filled roses.Serving Lewis as best man was Jack Fleming. Groomsmen were Mark Rawlinson and Tracy Lewis, brother of the groom. Serving as ushers were Jon Fowler, brother-in-law of the groom, and Bruce McEllhiney, brother of the bride.The men of the wedding party wore light beige tuxedos, with beige shirts. Their boutonnieres were silk burgundy carnations.Mrs. McEllhiney chose a beige formal gown for her daughter’s wedding. Mrs. Lewis, mother of the bridegroom, selected a light blue formal gown with a matching jacket. Both wore corsages of beige and burgundy carnations to compliment their gowns.A reception was held in St. Joseph cafeteria following the wedding ceremony.
