Mr and Mrs George Hawkins, sister and brother-in-law of the brideGiven in marriage by her father, the bride chose a princess style gown of polyester bridal satm fashioned with a fitted Chantillv lace covered bodice, long tapered sleeves with wide buttoned cuffs and small ocvered buttons accenting the raised lace neckline The long detachable train had overlays of Chantilly lace forming a scalloped edge Her three-quarter length tiered veil of illusion fell from a lace covered cap reembroidered with clusters of tiny seed pearls The bride earned a cascade bouquet of white feathered carnations, whitejackstraw mums and Oregon redwood centered w ith a white hybrid orchid and adorned with white ribbon streamers atop a white Bible Mrs Susan Williams of McAllen, sister of the bnde. was matron of honor Bndesmaids for their sister were Miss Lisa Sherman and Miss Stepham Shei man both ofMcAllenThe attendants’ dresses were fashioned after the brides andmade of candy pink deep green and apple green polyester satm with bodice boleros of a deeper shade of velvet Ribbon streamers accented the dresses They carried colonial bouquets of pale pink carnations light green jackstrawmums and pink perfection roses Each girl wore matching flora! headdresses.Attending his brother as best man was John K Curl of Hawaii Groomsmen were Neal Bo-tiger of Mission ;uid Joe Sunchez of Edinburg Ushers were Lanny Sherman, brother of the bride of Edinburg, and Robert Eiiut of McAllen For her daughter s wedding the mother of the bride chose a formal length light rose polyester satin dress with a long sleeved fingertip length jacket Her corsage was a cymbidium orchid adorned with beadedtnm of silver with pearls over amatching rose color ribbon The bridegrooms mother selected a polyester knit formal length gown of beige with a multi-color bodice fashionedwith a heart-shaped neckline and long sleeves She also wore a cymbidium orchid corsage adorned with ribbon trim in a color to match her gown Following the wedding a reception was held at the fellowship hall of St MarkUnited Methodist Church Hiebndal table w as skirted in apple green with a white lace overlay. An eight-branch candelabra with greenery, white fujii mums and roses centered the table Flanking the bridal table were two round tables skirted in candy apple pink The three-tiered wedding cake was served from one and the- other held the lighted silver fountain from which the punch was served Coffee, mints and nuts were served from silver appointmentsMiss Jan Smith provided background piano music for thereceptionThe three-tiered wedding rake, with each tier divided, was decorated with soft pinkroses with soft green leaves and topped with doves against a heart of pearls Wedding ringsMR.
