“JESSE JAMES” FILM EXTRA SENTENCEDHn.Li5!S!S■•»Jay, Okla., Dec. 14.—Mack Wilson, 23-year-old farm youth who worked as an extra in the production of the motion picture “Jesse James” last summer and then allegedly sought to emulate the noted outlaw in robbing a neighbor youth, is under a five-year penitentiary sentence.Wilson was convicted of armed robbery by a jury in district court here Monday. His alleged companion in the holdup, Ira Martin, 25, also was an extra in the “Jesse James” picture and is in jail awaiting trial.Evidence in the case, County Attorney Hendrix Wolf said, tended to show that Wilson “was inspired to commit the robbery” after taking part In the picture.It was only a few weeks after they participated in the motion picture, on September 24, that they allegedly waylaid Bud Rogers, a neighbor, on a little-frequented road, held him up and robbed him of $2. They didn’t ride horses, however, according to Wolf, who said the evidence was that they escaped “in an old broken-down* •■* 9t-r-car.”All three youths live in a rural area 12 miles northeast of Grove.
