srREEVES - CHURCHDianna Church and Edward Reeves were united in marriage during a beautiful double ring ceremony by Pastor Larry Dyke in the First Baptist Church on November 17th, 1973.The bride, escorted by her father, entered the ehurehwearing an A-line gown of white peau-de-soie with long lace sleeves, and lace bodice. A matching trailing train fell from a bow on the back bodice. Her waist leagth veil of illusion net was held in place by a crown of seed pearl and rhinestones. A pair of rhinestone earings, a gift from the groom, completed the bride's ensemble. She carried a bouquet of light and dark pink roses.Junior bridesmaid, Penny Church, followed the bride carrying her train. Preceding the bride down the aisle were: Ringbearer, KevinChurch in navy blue carrying the wedding rings on a white velvet cushion, and flower girl, Tammy Feere, Matron of honor, JoanFeere and bridesmaids, Julie Church and Colleen Dennis, wearing full sleeved gowns of shaded blue dress crepe with floral bodices. The girls all carried rosette bouquets of pale yellow roses and lily of the valley.The best men, Rick Feere, Larry Stadnick and Wilfred Reeves wearing navy blue tuxedos and yellow bout-ineers, complimented the groom’s tuxedo of velvet trimmed midnight tilue and pink corsage.Melolt;jlii/Kowalko played the organ and soloist Wilma Neimaa sang The Wedding Song.In navy suits, the guests were ushered in by Wayne Church and Ted Gibbings.The mother of the bride wore a gown of violet crepe with sheer pink floral sleeves.Mother of the groom wore a gown of rose fortrel with sheer pink floral bodice and sleeves. Both mothers wore pink corsages.Grandmother Pearl Reeves chose a dress of violet with mauve floral sleeves, and Grandmother Lourine Defoe chose a mauve pink dress. Both wore white corsages.Both fathers, Harold Church, and Cecil Reeves, and grandfather Leo Defoe wore dark suits and white boutineers.Following the wedding ceremony a reception and dance was held in the Legion Hall. Handling the guest book were Bonnie Trevellyn and Mary Kowaluk.The toast to the bride was made by her- grandfather, to which the groom fittingly replied. The happy couple will reside in Swan River, where Edward is employed by Swan River - The Pas transfer.
