Hobbs. 559 Quern Anne avenue, and Smith Thomas of Floris were united in marriage this morning at 10 o’clock, at the home of Rev. and Mrs. C. Chambers, on Wilson street. Rev. C. Chambers of the Davis street Christian church performed the ceremony. The wedding was a vedy quiet affair, only a few of the friends and near relatives being present to witness the ceremony. After the wedding service Mr. and Mrs. Thomas left for Floris where they will make their future home.NEW MINISTERASSUMES DUTYRev. It T. Underwood and family arrived In the city last evening from Lorimer and will make their future home at 206 Wilson street.Mr. Underwood recently accepted a call to the South Ottumwa Baptist church to succeed Rev. John Hastie. He has been pastor of the Lorimer Baptist church for the past two years. Mr. Underwood Is a minister of exceptional ability and the members of the church feel that they were fortunate in securing him for the pulpit of the.
