From Carsox Valley.—T. J. Hall, who resides at Gold Canon, Carson Valley, arrived in Placerville, says the Argus of December 6th, on Friday. There were about two feet and a half of snow at Silver Creek, when he came through, and on Thursday night, at Brockliss' bridge, it commenced snowing very hard. He is of opinion that the present storm will effectually dose communication with the Villey, except by means of snow shoes. Ourimformant met Dorsey at Slippery Ford, jon his return to the Valley. John Trumbull was married, last Sunday, to a daughter of Col. Reese. Rodgers’ party have been reduced j to three men. Jim the “big Indian’’ of the Washoos, told McMarland that he knew of two more Indians who were concerned in the murder of his brother, and that jjie intended deliver them over to the whites.Hall says there are about sixtv Americans* mand some forty Chinese engaged in mining at Gold Canon, but at present they are doing little for the want of water. One company, however, (Caldwell Co.,) is making twenty-five dollars per day to the hand, with rockers. The Chinese company went to an outlay of several thousand dollars, last season, in digging a canal, but owing to the ignorance of the party who planned it/ they never derived any benefit from it. Next season they design digging another canal.
