Pratt was granted to the plaintiff in the morning and at 12 30 the same day the rli-\orcee was married to Lewis B Horton.I he case of Lewis B. Horton, charged with unlawful cohabitation. •\as one of the rapes tried in the'ower country during the past sum* mer. In the first trial the jury railed to agree, the question of the exact crime and punishmentbeing the sticking point. but t the final trial he was convicted of the leasr ^har^e that could be found. Considering the fact that the defendant had spent somethin** like a year in jail at that time, and the charge would allow of a jail sen tence of a year. Judge Puller considered that he had already served his term and sentenced him to one day in Jail.After his release he came to Fairbanks. arriving here after the freeze-up. The lady In the case arrived before him.
