The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Mack Louis Saunders Of Pulaski and the bridegroom is the-son of Mrs.O. Mathews and the late Mr. Mathews of South Hill.The ceremony was held at An-der s o n Memorial Presby t e rian Church at 7 o’clock in the evening with the Rev. S. Browne Hoyt officiating.The church was decorated with altar baskets of white gladioli and fern, candelabra holding white tap ,ers and a white arch.Mrs. S. Browne Hoyt played the wedding niusic. Included in her selections were “Serenade,” by Schubert and “Because,” by D -Hardelot. Miss C irlisle Hoyt sang “Q Perfect Love” and “The Lord’sFather Gives Bride Given in marriage hy her father,the bride wore a gown^f slipper satin, the bodice covered with Chantilly lace, the long sleeves end ing in points at the hands. The bodice featured a portrait neckline with elongated points at the waist line. Floor-length lace panels were attached to .the waistline, front and back. Her veil, waist-length of French illusion was attached to a queen’s crown entered with bridal sequins and Seed pearls. The bride arried a Bible, lace covered, with a white orchid and stephanotis. Her only ornament was a strand of pearls.Mr$. Nell Caudill was matron of honofr. She wore am emerald green velveteen waltz-length dress fashioned with portrait neckline, threequarter-length sleeves with elongated pointed waistline, identical to theft of the bride. Her headdresswas a small matching velveteen hat made of leaves with veiling. She carried a nosegay of white pompons centered with yellow Glory roses. . •Bridesmaids were Mrs. Robert Hughes and Miss Peggy Stafford.Their dresses were identical to that of the matron of honor except they were in American beauty velvet with matching hats, also identi cai to fliat of the honor attendant. They carried nosegays of white and $ihk pompons.Carblyn Mathews, niece of the bridegroom, was flower girl. She was pressed in an all-white dotted Swiss 'dress, fashioned with ruffledbodice, full hooped skirt and she wore a headband of white pompons; She carried a basket of white rosepetals* :: ' . . ■ : “VJohn White of Bluefield, W, Va., was best man. The ushers were Mickey Saunders, Neal Wirt, Mack Saunders Jr. and Sammy Saunders.Mrs. Saunders, mother of the bride, wore a navy dress of satin and, lace with navy and white accessories and a corsage of whitecarnations.Mrs. Mathews, the bridegroom’s mother, wore a royal blue crepe dress with matching accessories and her flowers were also white carnations.Bride GraduateThe bride is a graduate of Pulaski High School, class of 1953. She is also a graduate nurse of PulaskiV;• t- *Hospital School of Nursing and she, iaffiliated at Radford College and Medical College of Virginia.Mr. Mathgws attended the UniversityRichmond andceivea B- A. degree from Lynchburg College. He is employed as coach of Mpntvale HighSchool m Mbntvale. He is also working on a?
