, “The marriage ceremony which united Reginald B. Bancroft of this city and Miss Iva M. Crowell of Middletown as partners for life's journey, took place this afternoon at the residence of the bride’s father, 156 College street, at 3 o’clock. The service was solemnized by the Rev. Harrison Ciosson, of the Middletown Universalist church, and only the bride’s father and mother with immediate relatives and friends of herself and the groom were present. The ceremcoy was made as simple as possible, both bridesmaids and groomsmen being omitted. The parlors of. the Crowell residence were very handsomely trimmed with flowers and evergreens, and the display of costly gifts which the newly-wedded pair received included some substantial ones of cash. Mrs. Bancroft is the daughter of Henry B. Crowell,who is one of Middletown’s most substantial and respected citizens. Thelady has a wide circle of friends and acquaintances, and is a favorite in society and social circles. Mr. Bancroft is one of the proprietors of the Park Drug store in this city and is one of the rising and successful merchants whose success is identified with the progress of New Britain. The happy couple left on the 5 30 “New England Limited” for the east, where they wilt spend a few days in Boston and viciuity. Harpy Nott of this city was among the guests who were present as friends of the groom. Mr. and Mrs, Bancroft will reside at 94 Camp street npon their return next week to this city, and will be “at home” to their friends and acquaintances on and after Jan. 21, 1893.
