The bride-elect's father formerly was assistant minister of ihe First Methodist Church of Moline.The wedding will take place at 7 in the evening on Dec. 31 in Wesley Methodist Church of Moline and there will be a reception immediately afterward in the church paries.Miss Desmond was graduated from Moline High School and attended the Moline Institute of Commerce and Slack Hawk College. She is employed by Eagle Signal Co., Davenport.Mr Gieker was graduated from Moline High School and attended Black Hawk College. He is employed by Fuller’s Print-ery, Moline.
