Mr. and Mrs. Bob ConnerlyConnerlyBob and Martha Connerly were happily surprised when a parade of decorated cars came honking past their home Sunday afternoon Oct. 11,2004.This was a surprise 60th wedding anniversary celebration planned by their children and children’s spouses - Patrick, Ronald, Sue, Debra and Marty. The Connerlys have seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.The celebration was enjoyed by their friends and relatives at Winker-by’s in downtown Rushville. A hot buffet was served adjacent to the bridal cake, which was appointed with fresh flowers.Guest attended from Atlanta. Ga.; North Redington Beach. Fla.; Kansas City, Mo.; Cedar Rapids, Iowa; Franklin; Indianapolis; Fort Wayne; Muncie; and Rush county.A roaming photographer took pictures throughout the afternoon. The couple will enjoy a trip to China as a continued celebration of their anniversary.Bob and Martha were married Oct. 29, 1944, in New Castle, at the First Methodist Church.
