Palms and ferns transformed the drawing-rooms into leafy bowers, aud white chrysanthemums were twined among the foliage by Bou-uot. Mrs. Miller wore a gown of silver gray brocade, the front of real lace brought from Venice and trimmed with silver gray chiffon ana cat jet. Miss May Miller received with her mother, wearing u dainty gown of r inbow crepe with sleeves and foamy ruffles of chiffon. Both Mrs. and Miss Miller carried white chrysanthemums.
