Palms and ferns transformed the drawing-rooms luto leafy bowers, aud white chrysanthemums were twined among the foliage by Bonnot. Mrs. Miller wore a gowu of silver gray brocade, the front of real lace brought from Venice nnd trimmed with silver gray chiffon aud cut jet. Miss May Miller received with her mother, wearing a dainty gowu of r inbow crepe with sleeves and foamy ruffles of chiffou. Both Mr9. and Miss Miller carried white chrysanthemums.
