Schaefer - BriQ h t Weddin§Trinity Lutheran Church was the setting on Nov. 27 at 2 p m. for the wedding of Miss Cath-leen Juanita Schaefer and Julian Thomas Bright. Rev. Hubert Temme officiated, using the double ring ceremony.Altar flowers were an arrangement of fiiji mums tipped withturquoise, and yellow daisy mums. I’ews were decorated with satin bows. .The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a floor length bridal gown in ivory peaude soie. The re-embroidered pearled and crystal Alencon lace bodice had a high neckline and long tapered sleeves. The A-line skirt swept into a long chapel length train The bride’s four tiered veil of bridal illusion was attached to a beaded piece of Alencon lace. She carried an ivyentwined cascade of ivory spider mums, yellow daisies andstephanotis.Miss Judith Schaefer attended her sister as matron of honor. Mrs. Nancy Schaefer of Du-Quoin, sister-in-law of the bride, was bridesmaid. They were identically gowned in floor length dresses of turquoise made with high rounded necklines andraised waist bodices in brocade with a metalic thread. The sleeves were long and tapered and the skirts were plain turquoise polyester gathered to the bodices. Wide matching velvet belts tied to bows in the back. Their headpieces were four-tiered matching shoulder length veils and flat bows. They carried arrangements of turquoise tipped spider mums and yellow daisies tied with matching velvet ribbon.Francis Bright of Greenville was best man and Donald Schaefer. of DuQuoin, brother of the bride, was groomsman. The ushers were Robert Schaefer and David Bright, brothers of the couple.The bride’s mother wore an aqua matelasse dress with brown accessories. She had a whiate carnation corsage. The bridegroom’s mother wore a brown and white knit two piece ensemble and had a yellow carnation corsage.Wedding music was played on the organ by Helmuth Harms.The reception was held in theschool auditorium.The cake was served by Miss Donna Caughlan of St. Louis and punch was served by Miss Martha Schaefer of Wood River. Miss Gloria Pursell of St. Louis was at the guest book and Miss Ann Alves of Belleville helped with the gifts.Following a wedding trip to Missouri, the couple will residein Belleville.The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Willet Schaefer, 1006 S. Walnut St. She attended Centralia Junior College and Southeast Missouri State College in Cape Girardeau.
