Kemp, famous marrying squire of this Gretna Green, has had enough of the matrimonial business which has blazoned his name in the press of the nation for the past several years. He states:I am seeking a berth as a republican member of the Industrial Board of Indiana and if you could fa\or me in your various mentions as one of the prospective candidates for this office, I certainly would appreciate it.”According to Justice Kemp, quite a number of his friends, both republican and democratic alike, have tirg/»d him to try for one of these posts.One of the requirements,” he write*, “is that a couple of the board’s members shall be attorneys and, as you know, I have practiced law, having been admitted to the county and supreme courts several years ago.” *Up to the present time.
