‘Betty Lou Phillips Becomes Mrs. George Lee Parent, Jr. Miss Betty Lou Phillips, dau ghter of Mr. and Mrs. O. J. Phil lips, 1017 Avenue C, became the bride of George Lee Parent, Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. George Lee Parent, Sr., Tulsa, Okla., at 9 a. m. Saturday, November 30. The Rev. Rupert R. Trageser read the single ring ceremony in St. Mary’s church. Nuptial music was played by Miss Joan Haas, who also accompanied Lloyd Lampe as he sang Ave Maria. Bride The bride was given in marri age by her father. Her gown of embroidered satin was styled with train. A coronet secured her fingertip length veil. She carried white roses centered with white orchid. Mrs. L. E. Sirois, Fort Madi son, was her sister’s matron of honor. Wearing shocking pink jersey, she carried white chrysan themums, Miss Dorothy Mertens, Fort Madison, and Miss Anne Forsy the, St. Louis, Mo., were brides maids. They wore light blue jer sey and carried white chrysan themums. The bridegroom and his at tendant, Joseph Neuman, Minne apolis, Minn., wore dark suits with carnation boutonnieres. Jack Halloran, Minneapolis, and Charl es Rawson, Kansas City, ushered, Mrs. Phillips and Mrs. Par ent, mothers of the bridal couple, wore rose crepe and teal blue crepe, respctively. Reception The wedding party breakfasted at 10 o’clock. About sixty attend ed the 1:30 p. m. reception at the Phillips home. The three tier wedding cake was decorated with blue and white and topped by a miniature bride and bridegroom. The bride is a graduate of Ca tholic- Central high school and the Midland radio and television school. The bridegroom, a Midcontin ent Airlines pilot, received his BA degree at Tulsa University. He is affiliated with Kappa Alpha fra ternity. After a wedding trip to Mexi co, Mr. and Mrs. Parent will live at 3250 Coronado Co., Kansas City, Kansas. For traveling, Mrs. Parent wore a labored suit and black accessories.
