De Pue Couple WedSaturday MorningMiss Magdalene Machek, daughter of Mr and Mrs. Vincent Machek, Sr., of De Pue, and Walter Sharkey, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Trumpinski, of Spring Valley, were married in a quiet ceremony performed at St. Mary’s Catholic church in De Pue on Saturday at 7 a. m. The Rev. Father Szalewski, pastor, officiated.The couple were attended by Miss Mary Zoran, a close friend of the bride and Louis Machek, a brother ofthe bride.The bride was attired in a gown of Spanish tile, fashioned in the new mode and wore a hat and accessories to match. Her bridesmaid wore a gown of brown silk crepe with harmonizing accessories.Following the ceremony a wedding breakfast was served to immediate relatives of the pair at the bridegroom’s parent’s home in Spring Valley.The young people left for a honeymoon trip to Moline and several other cities and upon their return will reside in De Pue. The bride was formerly employed in her father’s grocery store and the bridegroom is employed by his uncle on a farm near De Pue.Mrs. Sharkey was guest of honor at a pre-nuptial shower given on Friday evening at the Slovenian hall inDo Pue. Mrs. Vincent Machek, Jr., was the hostess and after an evening of games the guest of honor was presented with many beautiful gifts. There were about 40 guests present at the shower.
