The table was decorated with pink carnations, basket* of fruit and candles shaded with pink. Besides the host and hostess, covers were laid for Mrs. Z. E. Evans, Mrs. James Shields. Mrs. H. Carroll Brown. Miss Lowry of Butte, Miss Evans, J. C. Carlyle, Dan Welch, W. W. Jameson and Howard Welch of Butte.Mr. and Mrs. ft. V. MeBaln entertained a number of friends at Thanksgiving dinner at their home, 420 Elm street. The table was simply but beautifully decorated. The guests partaking of the hospitality of the McRain home were Mr. and Mrs Finlay Torrence, Miss Mately, Miss MeBaln, John Mately, Donald Nor beck and Leonard Funk.One of the pleasant affairs of the week was the supper, after the dance Thursday evening. The bride was attended by Miss Nellie Reid and ?nick Judge. The bride wore a gown of white voile over white taffeta with silk lining. She rarriPd a bouquet of roses. The bridesmaid was appropriately and beautifully gowned and carried a bouquet of pink American Beauty rosea. The groom lias resided in Anaconda for the past 10 years and is a popular young man. Their high school girl I ! friends were out in numlwrs, pretty as ! pictures In all their girlish frills, and they cheered the Butte boys on when | they needed it and in defeat they still | i cherished hopes for the future while j they reverently rolled up their pretty 1 banners carrying the colors of the home boys. But few large dinners i characterized the national day of rest and thanksgiving. Families gathered j , their little ones around them and made . merry, and often a few intimate friends Joined them in their pleasures. ! It was the young people's week, and they made the best of it. To-morrow the little path to the schoolhouse will be trodden and holidays will not come again until old Kris Krlngle goes riding by with his reindeers and the old story of Santa Clams is lived over again.
