QXJ1ing vows are excNancy Kay Smith and U*slie Earl Strouss III were united in marriage during a double-ring wedding ceremony at 2 o’clock Saturday, October 24. in the Bache Memorial Chapel of Van OrinThe bride was given in marriage by her parents, Richard and Virginia Smith of Rt. 1 Malden. The groom is the son of Leslie and Sandra Strouss of Rt. 1 Princeton.Arrangements of white pom poms with blue and pink carnations stood on the altar for the ceremony, performed by the Rev Harold Birkey. Norma Pearson was the organist and Joanne Nichols, the soloist.For her wedding, the bride chose a gown of white Chantilly lace and crystal pleating The Queen Anne neckline was detailed in Chantilly lace with aiving Mom'y toleanwaylavevingvingfewups,cansandcamping, the van will have to stay.Hopefully, in the years to come, some of these youngsters will remember me as having the time and hopefully the patience, to take them on their activities and will remember that I enjoyed myself just about as much as they didpeek-a-boo back. Crystal pleating of chiffon at the front of the empire-waisted gown created an apron effect on the skirt. Completing her gown was a train of Chantilly lace.Her waltz-length veil was edged with matching Chantilly lace and held by a lace-coveredJuliet cap She carried a silk colonial style bouquet of yellow roses with blue and white carnations.Attending the bride as matron of honor was her sister, Connie Guthrie. She wore a pink floor length gown featuring a sleeveless lace jacket over a strapless bodice. She carried a matching pink lace parasol anda single pink silk rose.Flower girl Dawn Puyear,niece of the groom, wore a floor - length blue gown with a white yoke. She carried a basket of petals.The groom chose his cousin. Dennis Nichols, as his best man Ushers were Rick Smith, brother of the bride, and David Nichols, cousin of the groomA wedding reception followed at the Princeton VFW Hall. Assisting were Lori Morris. Jody Cumpton, Sherry Smith. Karen Bland. Shawn Meroney and Wanda Staples.After a wedding trip to Peoria, the newlyweds are at home at Rt. 1 Princeton.The new Mrs. Strouss will graduate in 1982 from Maldenw24 inHigh School.
