Peceding the ceremony, Mrs. Charles Peterson, sister-in-law of the bride, sang Through the Years and Because and at the closing she sang The Lord’s Prayer.The church was decorated in white chrysanthemums, with mums and candelabra at the altar. The bride entered on the arm of her father, who gave her in marriage. Her gown was of white candle light satin with round lace net yoke. The sleeves were long and fitted, forming a point at the wrist. Her fingertip veil was of net, edged with matching lace. Her only ornament was a string of pearls which were worn by her mother at her own wedding 29 years ago. The bride also carried a white Bible upon which rested a white orchid.Misses Catherine Brokaw and Donna Plants, wearing white formnls, lighted the candles, and the Misses Joan Fleming and Mary Lou Nielson and Mrs. Joe Phillins, gowned in blue and pink formats, attended as brides maids. They carried matching bouquets. Mrs. Gilbert Shaffer, a cousin of the bride, acted as matron of honor, and wore a blue satin formal and carried pink roses.The groom was attended by his twin brother. Gilbert Shaffer. Ushers were Charles Peterson, brother of the bride, and Clyde and Donovan Shaffer, brothers of the groom, each of whom wore a white carnation boutonniere.Mrs. Peterson, mother of the bride, chose grey steel crcpe for her gown and wore a corsage of red roses. Mrs. Shaffer, mother of the groom, wore blue which was adorned with a.pink cor-sage.The reception, held in the church parlors following the ceremony, was for 125 guests. The tables were beautifully laid in white linen. Centerpiece of the bride’s table was a 3-tiered cake topped with miniature bride and groom. Silver candelabra and blue candles were also used in the table decorations. Mrs. John Porter poured. Mrs. Wes Crouch, as table chairman, was assisted bv Medames Harry Walter, E. R.
