Mrs. E. L. Clark, Miss Etta Boll and Master Henry accompanied Mr. Hightower on His wedding trip to this place and returned with the happy couple to Fayetteville Wednesday morning.Mrs. Mary Bundy and daughters, Misses Claud and Mary, and W. Ii. Cooper, of Laurinburg, and Leonard Bundv and wife, of Rock-ingham, spent Thanksgiving with the family of A. G. Frostick.The sun, do move—or at least old time carries us swiftly on. But boring an artesian well by machinery is a slow' process, yet it keeps 9 on boring, and wo hope, ere the spring birds sing the people of Maxton will be sipping the bright artesian water. Ask Messrs. Frostick Elliott when you can get a drink.1e0ist!-A.eL-Miss Della Barnes, the lovely and accomplished daughter of Enoch Burnes, Esq., of this place, and E. K. Hightower, of Fayetteville, were happily married at the home of the bride’s father at 8:20 o’clock Wednesday morning, Dr. H. G. Hill impressively performing the ceremony. The happycouple left on the 9 o’clock trainfor their Lome in Fayetteville. The young and handsome bridehas a host of friends hero who wish her a long, useful and happy life.
