Atkins-MannDebra Wyatt Atkins of Ter-ryvvood Road, Haw River, and Jeffrey Robert Mann of Georgia Avenue, Burlington, were wed Saturday, Aug. 2, 1997, at 1:30 p.m. at First Christian United Church of Christ. Dr. Robert Barrows officiated, and music was by Phil Bray, soloist, and Richard Apperson, organist.The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Wyatt Jr. of Elizabeth Lane, Me-bane, and the granddaughter of Mrs. Harry Wyatt Sr. of Mebane. The bridegroom is the son of Virginia M. Smith-ers of Georgia Avenue, Burlington, and the grandson of Mrs. Robert Mitchell of Burlington.Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a white satin gown with a fitted bodice and puffed sleeves with pearls and iri-descents, a sweetheart neckline, basque waist, full skirt with pearl medallions and lace-trimmed cathedral train. She carried a bouquet of gardenias, lilies and stephanotis.Maid of honor was Melody Atkins of Haw River, daughter of the bride, and matron of honor was Von Shoffner of Myrtle Beach, S.C. Bridesmaids were Allison Maultsby of Graham, sister of the bridegroom, and Tracy Gordon of Burlington.Scott Mitchell of Haw River, uncle of the bridegroom, was best man. Ushers were Warren Martin, Stephen Hunley, Todd Jordan and Kenneth Hilliard, all of Burlington. Groomsmen were “Tee Maultsby of Graham, brother-in-law of the bridegroom, and Chad Gordon and Josh Carter of Burlington.Mrs. Jeffrey MannDebra AtkinsFlower girl was Margaret Victoria Maultsby of Graham, niece of the bridegroom, and ring bearer was Thomas Neill Maultsby III of Graham, nephew of the bridegroom.Wedding director was Mrs. Erwin Workman of Burlington, and guest registrar was Michelle Martin of Burlington.The bridegroom's mother entertained with a reception at The Depot.The bride attends Alamance Community College.A Cummings High School graduate, the bridegroom is employed with BF1 Medical Waste Services, Haw River.The couple was honored with a rehearsal dinner at Nick's Cuisine, Burlington, by the bridegroom s mother.The couple lives in Haw River, and they traveled to Orlando and Cocoa Beach, Fla.
