Miss Deb Weintraut weds Mark Brown Miss Debra Diane Weintraut became the bride of Mark Anthony Brown, Sunday, July 29, at 2:30 p.m., at the First Christian Church in Shelbyville, with the Rev. James Horner officiating. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph J. Weintraut of Lake Santee are the parents of the bride, and Mr. and Mrs. Ray E. Brown, R.R. 9. Greensburg, are parents of the groom. The church was decorated in the bride’s chosen colors of lavender and soft pink, which were carried out in silk flower arrangements on the altar, together with tapered candelaara on either side. Lois Carol McCormack of Greensburg, aunt of the groom, was the organist.Vocalist was Miss Christy Brown of Greensburg, sister of the groom. The bride, given in marriage by her father, was attired in a white dacron polyester gown, with fitted bodice and attached chapel-length train. The gown had a Queen Anne neckline with bishop sleeves cuffed with lace and pearl buttons. The long veil of bridal illusion was secured to an open criss-cross headpiece of Venice lace. She carried a cascade of lavender and soft pink roses and carnations, accented with baby’s breath. Miss Dona L. Cutler of Cambridge City was maid of honor. She wore a lavender gown accented by a wide ruffle around the shoulder. Bridesmaid was Miss Christy Beck of Manilla, cousin of the bride. She wore an identical gown in a shade of soft pink. Both carried clutch bouquets of lavender and soft pink silk flowers accented with baby’s breath. Ray Brown of Carlisle, Ohio, brother of the groom, served as best man and Ron Grace of North Vernon was groomsman. The two wore matching grey tuxedoes with lavender-accented shirts. Serving as ushers were Scott Pierce, Richmond, and John Weintraut, Greensburg, both brothers of the bride. Grandparents attending were Mrs. Ira Weintraut, and Mrs. Flora Towne, both of Shelbyville, and Mrs. Henry Brown, of Greensburg. Rhonda Pierce of Richmond registered the guests. Following the ceremony a reception was held at the church, the tiered wedding cake featured a water fountain and was topped with a miniature bride and groom and accented with silk flowers. Serving were Mrs. Terry Dye and Miss Angel Weintraut, sisters of the bride, and Mrs. Ron Grace, sister of the groom. The bride graduated from North Decatur High School in 1982. The groom graduated from Greensburg Community High School in 1977, served four years in the United States Air Force, and is now em ployed at Larry’s Standard Station in Shelbyville. Following the wed ding trip the couple will be at home at R.R.1,Greensburg. The parents of the groom hosted a rehearsal dinner at the future home of the bride and groom. MR. AND MRS. MARK BROWN
