Grayson Ferguson of the Church of Christ in Christian Union in Logan performed the 2:30 p.m. ceremony.The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Brannon of 945 Pump Station Rd., Sugar Grove. Parents of the groom are Mr. and Mrs. Albert Mount of 1140 Church St.Altar decorations were arrangements of pink and whitecarnations, daisies and feathered chrysanthemums, with two seven-branch candelabra and a unity candle.White bows marked family pews.Organ music was presented by Mrs. Donald Wolfe, with vocal selections by David Wharton, soloist. Selections included “We’ve Only Just Begun, “Oh Perfect Love,” Wedding Prayer,” the love song theme from “Romeo and Juliet” and “Sunrise,Sunset.MLater, during the ceremony, Mr. Wharton sang “One Hand, One Heart” and “The Lord’s Prayer.”Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a gown fashioned by her mother. The empire gown of satiness was styled with a scoop neckline bodice of white daisy lace, with an A-line silhouette skirt. The full bishop sleeves of organza were finished with cuffs, trimmed with matching lace.Her two-layer chapel-length mantilla' of silk illusion was held by acamelot cap. covered with satinecsand daisies.Her jewelry was a cross necklaceand earrings, gifts from the groom.Her traditional blue garter was givento her by her great-aunt, Mrs. NellDuckworth. **The bridal bouquet was a cascadearrangement of pink sweetheart roses, white daisies with green centers, lilac and purple statis, baby's breath and greenery with streamers. She initially carried two single pink roses which she presented to each mother.Miss Laurie Rapp was maid of honor. She wore a lavendar flower print gown of crepe styled with empire waist, scoop neckline trimmed with a ruffle and a satin sash.Miss Anita Mount, sister of the groom, was bridesmaid. Her gown, styled like that of the honor attendant, was in pink.Miss Raquel Ann -Brannon, niece of the bride, was flower girl. Her gown, styled like those of the attendants, was also in pink. All three wore pink and purple daisies with baby’s breath in their hair and carried bouquetsarranged of the same flowers with multi-color streamers. Their gowns were made by the mother of the bride. Robert Mount served as best man forhis brother. Usher was TimothyBrannon, brother of the bride.Master Jason Wallace, nephew ofthe groom, was ring bearer.Following the ceremony, a receptionwas held in the church’s social room, with Mrs. Roger Brannon, Mrs. GeraldGerald Brannon and Miss Kathy Wikinas hostesses. Mrs. Mitchell Nusserpresided at the guest register.The three-tiered wedding cake decorated in pink, white and lilac, was decorated with the traditional minature bride and groom and fresh flowers.The couple then departed for Sea World. They now make their home at 908 Beacon St., Lancaster.The new Mrs. Mount, a 1972 graduate of Berne Union High School, is employed by the Big Bear Supermarket, Lancaster.Mr. Mount, a 1969 graduate of Logan High School, is a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps.Out of town wedding guests were Mrs. Nellie Duckworth of Lansing, Mich.; Mrs. William Palmer of Muskegon, Mich.; Mr. and Mrs. Wilson Hickman and Mr. and Mrs.Richard Hickman and daughter, Cassie, of Parkersburg, W. Va.Mrs. Mount was honored at prebridal showers given by Mrs. Roger Brannon, Ms. Laurie Rapp, Mrs. Joe Wallace and Mrs. Anna Mount.VFW AuxiliaryHas August MeetMabel Roop, president, conducted the recent meeting of the VFW Auxiliary, held in Pocahontas Hall, with 21 members attending.The gift for the evening was won by Sylvia Dye. During the business session, an audit report was given by Mary Schorr and initiation was conducted for Molly Johnson and DonnaBarney.It was announced that the 11th VFW District meeting will be held Sept. 14 and 15 in Newark.The members then went as a group to the funeral home to* pay their respects to Myrtle Boyle, a long-time member and a gold star mother.Next meeting will be held Sept. 10 at Pocahontas Hall.Slivers of syrup-preserved or candied ginger may be added to butteredcarrots.
