S iffert-McMillan vows exchanged in Eunice, La.Miss Mary Jacqueline Sif-fert and David Melton McMillan were united in the sacrament of Holy matrimony Saturday, August 19, 1972 at 1:00 p. m. at St. Anthony Patua Catholic Church in Eunice, Louisiana. The Rev.Donald J. Hebert, pastor celebrant of the nuptial Mass, officiated at the double ringceremony.The bride is the daughter of Mr, and Mrs, Herschell J. Siffert of Eunice and parents of the groom are Mr. and Mrs. Melton McMillan of Natalia.The altar was decorated with baskets of white gladio-las and wldte chrysanthemums.The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a white bonded moss crepe wedding gown designed with a scooped neckline with princess seaming short bell sleeves and long curved waist line that featured a slightly gathered skirt. Her veil of illusion was attached to a lace cap over bonded crepe. She carried a nosegay bouquetThe August meeting of the Hondo Home Demonstration Club w as held on August 15 at t!«e City Auditorium. As a program, the club members enjoyed a st)le show put on by the 4-H Club members from Hondo who entered the D ess Revue, The girls who modeled were;of white baby mums, stepha-nctis and greenery intermingled with pink, blue and aqua ribbon and streamers.She carried out the tradition of wearing something old, new and blue.Miss Elizabeth Pritchett of Corpus Christi was maid of honor. She wore an aqua-colored dress made identical to the bride's dress.Bridesmaids were Linda Siffert and Dolores Siffert, sisters of the bride. Linda wore a rose pink bonded crepe dress and Dolores wore a sky blue bonded crepe dress. Each were designed with empire waistlines and short bell sleeves. The attendants each wore a bow hri:1 piece to match the color of their dress with white baby mums. They each carried a white long-stemmedchrysanthemum.Lewis McMillan was his brotlier’s best man. Bruce McMillan and Gregory McMillan, brothers of the groom, were groomsmen. James Siffert and John Siffert, twin brothers of the bride.Kay Martin and Denise Saat-hoff served as commentators and also modeled.Dorothy DcGrodt, our Food chairman, gave a report on a low calorie destert made with low-cal jello and egg whites which were sampled, and Doris Saathoff si lowed some of the thingsserved as ushers and lectors.Robert Siffert, brother of the bride, and Margaret Louise Siffert, sister of die bride, carried the offertory gifts in procession.A reception was held immediately following the ceremony in the VFW Hall.The bride’s cake, a round three-tiered white confection was decorated with blue flowers, silver leaves and white pearl swans served with lime sherbet and fruit punch, ham and chicken sandwiches, also a variety of cakes, coffee and the toasting wine.- The groom's cake was a strawberry bundt. Servers were Mmes. Hubert McGee, Alice Guil-lanmin, Joyce Huckaby and Eyvonne Dupre.The young couple will make their home in San Antonio wrhere both are students at Our Lady of the Lake College. The groom is employed at the Protestant Children's Home in San Antonio.Out-of-town guests were from Dille Platte St. Landry, Lake Charles, Bayou Chicot,Louisiana; Fort Worth, Dallas, San Antonio and Natalia.REHEARSAL DINNERThe bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Siffert of Eunice,La., were hosts for a rehearsal dinner at their home Friday evening for members of the wedding party, the groom's parents, Mr. and Mrs. McMillan, and his grandmother, Mrs. John L.Kernpf of Natalia.Fri lit i11irClub holds Dress Revue1J
