Miss Ann Bassett of Alvah JosephSt. Clement's Episcopal Church, Berkeley, California, was the setting August 12 for the marriage of Miss Ann Haywood Bassett to Alvah Joseph Miller, Jr.The bride is the daughter of Capt. and Mrs. Leonard Flourney Bassett of Oahu, Hawaii, formerly of Coronado. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Leonard E. Bassett, Pine Bluff, Arkansas.Miller is the son of Mrs. Alvah Joseph Miller and the late Mr. Miller of Santa Maria. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Martin, also of Santa Maria.The bride, given in marriage by her father, chose a gown of white embroidered silk organza fashioned with a scoop neckline and short sleeves. The gown was trimmed with plain organza around the neckline and hem. A train of plain ojrgonza edged with embroidery feli from a bow at the nelt;*line of the gown.An embroidered organza circlet held her tulle veil. She carried a bouquet of white phalaenopsis and stephanotis.Maid of honor was Catherine Bassett, sister of the bride. Miss Penny Peterson, Redding and Mmes.
