St. Paul's United Church was the scene of a double-ring ceremony, August 26, at 645 p.m., when Margaret Frances, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. Kensick, be came the bride of Jack Brown, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. Brown of Abbotsford B.C., formerly of Winnipeg. Rev. 8S. R. McLeod officiated. Miss Mildred Kensick, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. Miss Stella Beck was bridesmaid. Eileen Kensick was flower girl. Lorne McGregor and Walter Kensick, brother of the bride, attended the bridegroom. Ushers were John Shearer and Stanley Kensick. The bride wore a gown of white satin. The net bodice featured a panel of satin, studded with rhine stones, which formed a cutaway panel at the back. The skirt was full. A peplum marked the waist line. Her veil of net, trimmed with lace, was held by a coronet of seed ants. She carried a cascade of ratcliffe roses and sweetpeas. A reception was held at the Empire Chateau, Mr. and Mrs. Brown left on a trip to Detroit Lakes. They will reside in Winnipeg.
