A, Bean and Mr,*and Mrs. Victor Bean visited Sunday wil^ relatives in Spencer.Mr. and Mrs. Amel Wtinn visited Sunday with their unde near Milford.Mr. and Mrs. Hugo Moeller and family returned to Waterloo Monday after a weeks visit with relatives here.Miss Ella Moeller will leave nextSaturday for Burley, Idaho, where she will bo one of the instructors in the high school. This is Miss Ella’s second year at Burley.The local schools will reopen next Monday after the summer vacation. Following is the list of instructors: Superintendent, H. Ericson; high school principal, James Corbett; homo economics, Dorothy Spotsel; seventh and eighth grades, Johanna Weblemoe; flifth and sixth grades Mrs. Fred Sierck; first and second grades, Emma Smith.Mr. and Mrs, Wm. Mildenstein of Brownsdale, Minn., visited last week with the hitter's sister, Mrs. Peter Matthiesen Sr.Mrs. lCillebrew left Friday to attend the state fair at Dos Moines.Harrison Wunn and H. W. Kille* brew motored to Marshall county Thursday.Mr. and Mrs. John Knuth and daughter Dora and Mr. and Mrs. Grove Knuth of Trosky, Minn., and Miss Elizabeth Blair of Pipestone. Minn., visited from Saturday until Monday at the Herman Brug-mnn home.Miss Alvina Schoenewo of Arnolds Park visited her sister Kate the first of the week.The Moeller and Brugman families had a reunion and picnic dinner at the Methodist camp grounds last Sunday. About seventy were present. After doing justice to the splendid dinner which was served on the lake shore the afternoon wasspent in a good old time visit. Brugman and family of Rock Itapids, Mr. and Mrs, Hugo Moeller and family of Waterloo, Mrs. Henry Ruwe Sr and daughter Ella and Mr. and Mrs. Hartman of Marathon, Mr, and Mrs. Charles Ruwe of Worthington, Minn., Grover and Henry Ruwe Jr. of Sheldon and George Ruwe of Sutherland.Mr. and Mrs. E. H. Breitsprecher and Mr. and Mrs. Theo Dehrkoop returned Tuesday from a visit with Mr. Breitsprecher's parents at Rice-ville.Miss Wilma Leuders will leave this week for Hastings, Nebr., to attend college. A surprise party was given in her honor Friday night at the L. W. Wohlonberg home.Mr. and Mrs* W. L. Kloppenburg and family returned Friday from a trip to Minnesota points. They visited Mrs. Kloppenburg’s brother at Minneapolis and Superior, Wis,, and sister at Montevideo, Minn.Mrs. Otto Sierck recently underwent an operation at Iowa City.Walter Howard arrived Thursday for a visit with his mother, Mrs. F. F. Ruge. He has been taking treatment at Colfax for several weeks.H. H. Moeller arrived Wednesday from Boulder, Colo*H. Kruse and Mr. and Mrs. James Ryder and family returned Friday from a motor trip to Rosholt, S. D.Harry Mundt who has been attending summer school at Iowa City arrived Saturday for a visit at homeW. A. Thompson returned to Rockwell City Wednesday after a visit at the T. B. Gannon home.Mrs. F. R. Kelse and sons Bert and Merril and Miss Blanche Ruck-man o2 Superior visited Friday with the Rev. G. F. Wood family.Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Stuhr spent Sunday with the H. C. Moeller family at Milford.Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Pohlen went to West Bend Tuesday to attend the dedication of the new Catholic church. •The Pleasant Hour Club met Mon-dday afternoon with Mrs. Wm Poh-len.The Otto Moeller and Frank Jurgens families picnicked at Hone Tree Sunday, Out of town guests were Mrs. Herman Ruge of Minneapolis and H, H. Moeller of Boulder, Colo.Mias Hannah Mohlenbroek offMountain Bake, Minn., arrived on Monday for a visit with her sister, Mrs. O. P. Moeller.
