Fleming, of Lynchburg performing the ceremony. # •On Monday afternoon a linen Bhower was given by Mrs. Bunker and Mis Mabel Jones, and, in addition to the woot-pour” resulting from this, the bride was the recipi ent of many beautiful and usefulpresents.The bride, a native of Monterey* is a member of one of the best Highland families, and, personally, is a lady of many noble virtues, held in high esteem and favor by all who know her.The groom, who comes of the best of Pocahontas stock, is a prominent and successful young farmer of the Levels. His brothers. Dr. Winters and attorney SommersMcNeel, his sister, Miss Mary, and Messrs Carl Beard and Allen Edgar accompanied him to Highlandand were present at the marriage.Immediately after the ceremony the bridal party left for Burtow amid a shower of rice, and will there take the train for their future home, their plans for a tour having been abandoned on account of the recent illness of the groom.
