Jakubec-Moncrieff Wed At WainwrightGrace United Church of Wain wright was the scene of a pretty wedding on July 4th at 2:30 p.m. when Miss Dorothy Moncrieff, daughter of Mrs. Geo, Moncrieff of Ribstone, Alta., exchanged vows with Mr. Lawrence Jakubec of Viking. Rev. Wallace Mac-Pherson performed the double ring ceremony.The bride, entering the church on the arm of her brother, Mr. Roy Moncrieff, was dressed in a floor length gown of white satin trimmed with lace and net with matching jacket of lace with lily point sleeves, and matching crown head piece trimmed with pearls. Her bouquet was a white bible crested with red roses.The bride was accompanied by a matron of honor, Mrs. Hazel Hanson of Viking, and two bridesmaids, Miss Buby Moncrieff and Miss Pearl Moncrieff. They wore identical pale blue floor length dresses with matching head pieces. They carried white Bibles crested with carnations.The groom was attended by two best men, his cousin, Mr. Eddie Jakubec of Kitscoty, Alta., and his brother, Mr. Andy Jakubec of Viking. The ushers were Mr- Marshall Miskew of Viking, Alta,, and Mr. Howard Cornfield of Bdgerton,Mrs. D. S. White played the wed-.ding music and Mrs. Sheffield sang “Because/’For her daughter’s wedding, Mrs. Geo. Moncrieff wore a dress of navy and her corsage was of white carnations. The mother of the groom was dressed in a white dress with blue flowers and her corsage was of white carnations.After the ceremony, a reception was held Jn the Viking Community Hall. The bride’s table was centred with a four-tiered wedding cake. Mr. Eddie Jakubec gave the toast to the bride, to which the groom replied.They left for a hoenymoon to Banff and points In B.C. and southern Alberta. The happy couple will make their home in Viking.
