Nuptial Music Is Released, Plans GivenMusic for the wedding of Miss Jo Ann Peacock and her fiance, Pic. Marlin Carroll Snead of Camp Lejeune, has been selected. The ceremony will take place August 30 at Race Street United Methodist Church.Rev. John Barnes, pastor, will hear the couple pledge their vows in a ? p.m. ceremony and Mrs. Colin Davis, organist, will present a program of traditional wedding music. She is also to accompany the vocalist, Miss Cindy Gibson, in “Oh, Perfect Love,” “The Song of Ruth,” and “The Wedding Prayer.”Daughter of Mrs. Ann Keever Peacock of 207 A Street, Statesville, the bride is also a daughter of E. L. Peacock. She will be given in marriage by her uncle, Garland L. Keever of Statesville and has selected her sister, Miss Glenda Kay Peacock, as maid of honor. Bridesmaids will be Mrs. Vivian Cranfill Thompson of Harmony, Mrs. Brenda Johnson Templeton and Mrs, Trudy Grose Elliott, both of Statesville, and junior bridesmaids include cousins of the bridal couple, Misses Paula Marlene Henderson, Wanda Ann Holbrook, Casandra Dianne Keever and Vickie Dianne Waugh.Little Stephanie Dawn Waugh, a cousin of the bride, will serve as flower girl and ringbearer is to be Scottie Wayne Elliott.Son of Mrs. Lucille Snead Stroud and the late Marlin Willard Snead, the bridegroom will have his step-father as best man. Harold Elliott of Statesville will usher with Ralph Marshall and Michael Sparks of Harmony, and Michael Johnson of Moeksville,Rehearsal for the ceremony will be held at 8 p.m. Friday and a cake-cutting is to follow in the social hall.Miss Peacock is employed in the office of Princeton Knitting Mills and her fiance, who attended Massey Colege in Jacksonville, Fla., is presently serving in his company's offices at Camp Lejeune.
