Former Dakota Girl Is Bride August 24From Santa Monica. Calif., comes news of the marriage of Miss Viola Aarvig. daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Bernt Aarvig. former North Dakotans, and Vernon Clyde Sorenson. formerly of Minneapolis, which occurred at 8anta Monica on Saturday, August 24. The bride is a granddaughter of Mrs. L. H. Sisco, Klntyre.The ceremony was read at 10 o'clock by Dr. Cornett In the garden of the Cornett home. For her wedding, the bride chose a white sheer wool tailored ensemble with hat to match and a corsage of roses and lllies-of-the-valley. Her cousins. Miss Marjorie Ryan of Santa Monica and Everett P. Sisco of San Francisco, were the attendants. Miss Ryan wore a pink wool costume and a corsage of white roses and gardenias. Barbara Morby and Jack Morris, the flower girl and ring bearer, both were in matching white outfits trimmed with blue.A wedding breakfast for 18 guests was served at the home of Mrs. J. J. Ryan, aunt of the bride. Afterwards Mr. and Mrs. Sorenson left for a southern trip after which they will be at home at Santa Monica. Mr. Sorenson is the son of Mrs. Christine Sorenson of Minneapolis and is a graduate of a Lo6 Angeles radio school.* * *The first pre-nuptial party honoring Miss Viola Helen Toews, whose marriage to Norman T. Livdahl will be an event of Sept. 22. was a kitchen I shower and bridge party for 10 j guests given Tuesday evening by Mrs. i Walter J. Brandt. Tribune apartments. At contract the bride-elect and Miss Thelma Livdahl received first and second high scores, respectively. Balloons were combined with flowers in the table and room decorations and Miss Toews found directions for finding her gifts in verses contained in some of the balloons.
