m®BAKER — MOORBYA wedding of local Interest was solemnized in Stouffville United Church on Friday evening, August 21. when Lois Eleanor, daughter of Mr. Herbert Moorby and the late Mrs. Moorby of Gormley became the bride of Ros;s Graham Baker, son of Mr. and Mrs. F. W. Baker, Buttonville. «Rev. D. Davis officiated and wedding music was played by Mrs. George Brown, Toronto. The soloist was Miss Nancy Stocks of Aurora who sang The Lord’s Prayer during the signing of the register.Given in marriage by her father. the bride was lovely in a dresden white faille gown fashioned with an Empire yoke and circlet neckline decolletage ap-ptiqued with leaf and rose motifs of alencon lace. The short sleeves were lace embroidered; a lifted flange accented the midriff, and the botsffant skirt fell in princess lines to a chapel train. A crown of orange blossoms caught her fingertip veil and she carried pink rosebuds and stephano-tis. '% . '* V/r' ;7;Miss Sheila Wilcox was maid of honour wearing a waltz length gown of blue silk organza with headdress of blue velvet and organza veil, and matching accessories. Her flowers were a nosegay of pink and white carnations and pompoms^ . v ~ lt;;£The usher was Mr. Albert Moorby, brother of the bride, and Mr. Sidney Barraclough was the groomsman. • 1Following the ceremony a reception was held at the Tam-O’-Shanter Golf Club where Mrs. Herbert Moorby welcomed the guests in a navy gown with white accessories and corsage. Mrs. Baker. assisting her. also wore navy blue with contrasting assessories and corsage.^iIFor a honeymoon trip east the bride wore a brown and beige costume with matching accessories. On their return Mr. and Mrs. Baker will live in Toronto.
