Barnips Church Scene Of Summer WeddingBurnips, Aug. 27 (Special) — Miss Betty Coates, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Coates ofroute 1, Byron Center, became the bride of Calvin Fleser. son ofMr. and Mrs. William Fleser of Burnips Tuesday evening in the Burnips Methodist church. The Rev. S. J. Kleis and the Rev.Wayne Shoemaker, brothers-in-law of the groom, performed the double ring ceremony.The altar was decorated withpalms, twin candelabra and arrangements of white gladioli and small bouquets decorated the pews. Harold Lenten of Hudson-ville sang “At Dawning,” “Be-‘ cause.” and ‘The Lord’s Prayer,” accompanied at the piano by Arthur Fleser, brother of the groom, who also played the wedding marches.The bride’s white satin gownwas styled with a yoke of Chantilly lace, long sleeves and full skirt wdiich extended into a train.Her fingertip length veil was held in place by a headdress of orange blossoms and she carried a bouquet of white gladioli, carnations and roses. She was given in marriage by her father.Miss Dorothy Clark of Marshal-town, la., the bride’s college roommate and onlv attendant.wa dressed in green satin andcarried a bouquet of white gladioli and vollow roses.Ivan Fleser, brother of the groom, was the best man. Mark Diamond. Jr., cousin of the bride and Bob Brady, cousin of the groom, seated the guests.Mr. and Mrs. Roger Fleser. brother and sister-in-law of the groom, were master and mistress of ceremonies.A reception for 100 guests was held in the Salem Township Community hall following the ceremony. Miss Winona Alward, cousin of the groom, sang “Always,” accompanied by Miss Erma Deters of Bentheim.The couple left on a trip to northern Michigan and Wisconsin.They both are graduates of Hud-sonville high school and Taylor university at Upton. Ind Fleser will teach in the Walker-Ic1tiJville higti school and he will ^ teach in Shelby high school. They will make their home in Walkcr-ville.Out of town guests included Mrs. Hattie Ball of Grand River. Wis., Mrs. Arthur Anderson of Oak Ridge, Tenn.; Mr. and Mrs. A1 Treu and Miss Arlene Treu af Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. Mark Diamond. Sr., and Mark Diamond.Jr., of Detroit; *Mr. and Mrs. G. W.
